Swimming pool maintenance: How to keep pool waters warm all through the year

Do you want to enjoy splashing about in your so lovingly made swimming pool all through the year, in every season? Well, there is in fact more than one ways to do so. Here are some of the swimming pool maintenance ways to keep the temperature of your swimming pool warm the entire year. Let’s take a look at them:

Solar Pool Heating: This technique for heating up your swimming pool(s) is ideal for those of you, who live in an area with loads of sunlight. Additionally, you need to have a large roof area to install special rubber matting, which should be at least equal to 80% of the surface area of the swimming pool. This extremely cost effective heating technique works by pumping the pool water into the hot rubber matting (already heated up by absorbing sunlight). The rubber matting thus transfers the heat to the water and then this warm water is returned back to the pool. Also, if you live in an area with a tropical climate, you can use the same system to cool your pool by pumping it through your rubber mat at night.

The only drawback of Solar Pool Heating is that on a cloudy day, your pool won’t be filled with lukewarm water.

Gas Pool Heating: Those of you with access to an abundant supply of Natural gas, can try this system. Here, gas heating helps maintain a constant temperature in your pool. It uses a thermostat for this purpose. And on hot days, if you want a cool dip in the waters, then all that you need to do is just turn it off at that point of time. However, as opposed to solar heating, gas pool heating needs a lot of planning beforehand since the water takes as much as 12-24 hours to reach a particular temperature. Also, the price will depend on the on-going gas price in the area you live in.

Summing it up
So, these are two of the best ways for swimming pool maintenance, when it comes to keeping the water warm all round the year.  Try the one, which suits you best and do share your experience with us.
